- For the first time today, I deal with two guests on my own. I'm not sure how I did, but it does look like a step forward.
- Because I'm not feeling well in the morning, I call up work to say that I'll be in only post-lunch. Suddenly, I have a morning to myself, and I can sleep in on a weekday. What's more, I'm at home when the cook comes and she makes me a lovely lunch. The hot, soft chapatis are an unexpected treat...
- Ptolemy's Gate - the third and last part of the Bartimaeus Trilogy by Jonathon Stroud... This one's turning out better than the previous two, and I'm already very engrossed... Bartimaeus's witticisms and the foot notes he provides so helpfully, are an absolute delight!

Sweets!
Was talking to (your cousin) Pallu the other day, and looks like she is a fan of Kitchen Rani too :-)
You should do some more to get her the popularity she deserves. Just a mention won't do!
Here I have a suggestion for you...
Can you get Kitchen Rani's recipes for rotis and publish them in your blog? Theplas too, please. I have tried to make authentic rotis and theplas, somehow they end up leathery .
Love,
Aparna
Theplas are a Gujju dish... Kitcen Rani doesn't know how to make them... and as far as rotis re concerned, the magic is in practice... no amount of theory is going to help! Any other recipes you need, I'll be happy to ask for...
How's your cokking going on? Hey I need the recipe for the brinjal rice!
yes, yes, i shall send you the recipe and along with it your b'day gift. I am hoping you get it before you turn a year older! Feel miserable every time i know I have slacked rather badly on this one :-(
